Well, the title of this blog says it all! Yes, this is the first blog of 2012 for me, and it came about the week after the year started. In fact, its been my first blog since December 14th of 2011. For that I apologize. Really never got around to it. I had the intentions of making my first couple blogs of 2012 video blogs, but several camera malfunctions have altered those plans. So for this blog, looks like Im favoring the people who like to read rather than watch. That being said, I feel like 2012 is picking up where my 2011 left off, and thats being more focused and positive in general. So I can call it a New Years resolution even though Ive been working at it since September of 2011? Yeah, sure. My goal is to be overall more healthy mentally and physically. I have hit the gym hard to improve my health. I lost 12 pounds, before the holiday season of feasting LoL. One big thing thats keeping me motivated is my love to play basketball. I see my NBA idols' work ethic in the gym and it keeps me wanting to do the same. That way, for my recreational league team, I can be more effective as well. You need to stay motivated to achieve your goals. I currently have a dry erase board hanging right by my bed that I can see whenever I wake up. On it, several simple phrases. It says, "#MAKEITCOUNT, STAY Motivated, focus Focus FOCUS, and #WorkForChange." Reading these everyday I wake up helps me stay wanting to achieve my goals. And it makes me feel better knowing Im trying to better myself. Im also trying to help other people be positive and work for their goals. I go to my social networks to notify people what Im doing. "Hittin the gym, gotta be greater, motivated, focused, etc...." People may take that as me trying to impress people or show off that Im working out, but really I do so in hopes that it makes people wan to do the same. I feel like if I do so, and results show, people will think "If Don Cudi can do it, I DAMN SURE can do it." And you should be able to. At the end of the day, I want people to better themselves, no matter what it is. And you need to stay motivated to do so. Its a whole lot easier to sleep at night knowing youre working hard for something. And a whole lot easier to look yourself in the mirror...
#WorkForChange
P.S.....I intend to post a video blog of my hoopin shoes tonight/tomorrow...random, I know. LoL
